AAA - American Automobile Association - AAA's travel planner presents recommended hotels, restaurants and attractions in the United States and Canada. A few preplanned online travel guides are also available.
Fastcheck Arrival Guides Online - Over 320 free pdf destination guides. In 10-20 pages, they cover the basics - accommodations, food, attractions, how to get to and from airports, and maps.
In Your Pocket Essential City Guides - Free online guides (primarily on central and Easter European cities) of about 60 pages contain useful informationon on hotels, resturants, and what to see.
Schmap: Beyond the Map - Schmap offers over 200 free, interactive destination guides. The information can be printed but is best viewed online, downloaded to a computer along with the Schmap 2.0 program, or accessed via iPod. Users can also create personal travel gluides.
Traveldk.com - This site allows users to compile content from DK's "Eyewitness Travel" guides and submissions from enthusiastic travelers, which can be accessed online for free, downloaded as a printable pdf for $5 or bought as a printed book for $15.
Visit London - With a variey of information services for travelers, the site allows users to download current accommodation guides and monthly planners.
Rick Steves - Free MP3 files galore, including the complete archives of Steves's radio program, excerpts from his TV show, and audio walking tours for cites in France and Italy.
Rough Guide Podcasts - Rough Guides authors give a few good tips on special things to do at the destination and will put listeners in the mood for thier adventures.

Salado Public Library is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
channels of communication to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, Salado Public Library
has a policy of providing an accessible website compatible with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) and
commercial screen reading software. All features of the website are coded to allow individuals with vision and
other impairments to understand and use the website to the same degree as someone without disabilities. We welcome
