A special project for the Friends is the operation of Bookends, a used book shop. In the spring of 2007 the Salado Public Library Board Trustees approved the renovation of the small building located behind the library. Once renovations to the building were completed, mid-summer 2007, the Friends set up a used book shop. The shop is known as Bookends. Proceeds from the sale of used books provide the Friends a source of revenue which is used to assist the library as needed.
As mentioned above, membership in the Friends is open and free to community members and library patrons. We urge you to join, if you are not a member, and become active. If you are currently a member we encourage you to contact us and we can get you involved in this most worthwhile organization. It is a great opportunity to help your library and your community.

Website Accessibility Policy
Salado Public Library is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
channels of communication to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, Salado Public Library
has a policy of providing an accessible website compatible with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) and
commercial screen reading software. All features of the website are coded to allow individuals with vision and
other impairments to understand and use the website to the same degree as someone without disabilities. We welcome
feedback and can often resolve issues in a timely manner if they arise.
